There is a new face at ComTeam: Nicole Konopka

Since August 6th, you support us at ComTeam. What exactly are your tasks?
As a team assistant and as a contact person in the reception I am the one who is the first contact in the ComTeam office for our seminar participants and for people on the phone who are interested in our work. In the background I am organizing a lot around the seminars and I support the consultants, e. g. in planning all their travelling.

Where do you come from and which were the stations in your professional career?
I am coming from the Ruhr Area and through my qualification in business and languages I made my way from the river Rhine via the Canary Islands to Bavaria.
I started my professional life as a trained retail saleswoman, and then added training as a bilingual secretary. I was a management assistant in a haulage company, worked as a receptionist and later on as regional purchaser Non Food in the Club Robinson in Spain and in the customer service at K2 Europe. These experiences and the ability to judge character will be of good use here at ComTeam.

Which were the most important influences?
I have worked in a variety of business fields and in very different positions, also abroad. To achieve good results with very different people without loosing fun were a challenge and a gain at the same time. It is something you cannot study. I especially remember my time as an assistant in a haulage company in Germany. My boss then was someone with high professional and social competence. Also to work with so many different people, customers, lorry drivers and deponents, had quite an influence on me.
Living in Spain, in the Robinson Club, will always remain a special experience for me. To live and work with people of different mentalities, live close to the sea side and in a very barren landscape and the experiences on stage I made in the Club, all this was exciting and impacted me.
Unusual situations and people were what moved and changed me mostly.

How did you end up in Gmund?
Since 3,5 years I am living at the Starnberger See. During this time in Bavaria I used to spend a lot of time here at the Tegernsee and now through this change in my work life I came even closer to my favourite Bavarian lake.

What were the reasons for taking on the job at ComTeam?
To work for a company which not only trains humanitarian values, mindfulness, quality and productivity but also lives it and which fits in terms of its philosophy is quite important for me. It means life quality.

How do you spend your leisure time?
I love sports: swimming, dancing, cycling, trekking, surfing and skiing. Or I just sit in the sun and relax with a cup of cappuccino. I like to bake and cook with friends, I love music and musicals and I am very much interested in holistic medicine.

Where do you like to travel to?
To Spain of course, especially Fuerteventura, but also Austria and Italy or I discover Germany. But I really want to get to know the cultures and the people in India and South America.

What are your wishes for the first year at ComTeam?
I want it to continue as it had begun: with fun and success!
