Visit Us at the DGFP-Fair!

On June the 14th and the 15th ,2007 the DGFP-Congress for personnel managers and executives takes place in Wiesbaden. Parallel there is the fair “Personal & Weiterbildung” which gives a broad overview of all the services in the field of personnel management.
ComTeam will be there to talk with you! This year you will find our booth in a new design and at a new spot: Hall 3, Booth 327 ( right beside the cafe).
During the Podium you can listen to our talk on Thursday, the 15th of June in Hall 5, 12.00 till 12.25. Our board member 1 will give a talk about “Solid Leadership – What are the Specifics of Qualifying Programs for Experienced Leaders?” (the talk will be given in German).

Here’s a short summary of the talk:
Leaving the job at the age of 67, changes in the regularities about early retirement, demographic change: The generation of executives aged 50+ has still more than 15 years of work to come, which also should be created effectively in terms of qualification. But the existing training programs do not necessarily fit, because experienced executives are different than the young ones: their power and their experience are big, but their participation in routine trainings happened a long time ago. And even when the core issues in their experiences are similar - dealing with private talks, managing conflicts, managing change - the way how you do it, the didactics, the timing and the concrete applicability – all this has changed a lot and differs from the way young executives deal with it.
So, how should qualifying programs for experienced executives look like in order for them to have an optimal effect? This was the subject of the questionnaire in our ComTeam Study 2007. What the results were and what will be the consequences for a Senior Leadership Program, this will also be part of this talk.
