The new year in the Tegernsee Valley

In the area around the Tegernsee there are many places and there will be many events going on in the next year that are worth while visiting, especially when you happen to be there any way.

A very special event in the Tegernsee Valley is the Mongolfiade.This is a big meeting for all the fans of hot-air balloon driving that takes place from Jan 24 - 28, 2007. You can watch balloon driving races, parachute jumping, paragliding and there will be different other events, such as a winter market, après-ski parties and live-bands. From May 12 -19,2007 the Tegernseer Kunst- und Kulturtage take place. This is an event where you can visit many art exhibitions and listen to the music of the traditional artists of the valley.

If you are a passionate “biker”, you might like to take part in the Mountain bike - Festival at the 10th of June. Four tracks varying in length from 40 to 80 km and with a covering an altitude difference from 580 to 2800 m wait for you.

And the Casino in Bad Wiessee is open each day. Since you are not obliged to gamble, it is nice to just have a look around and get a taste of the very special atmosphere. But please don’t forget to bring with you a valid passport or similar document!
