First Live-Forum at ComTeam concerning leadership

On Friday, April 15th, out team met here at the Tegernsee with clients from different companies to discuss the subject of leadership.

Theses were the specific topics:

  • The situation of young leaders in Germany
  • Corporate Culture
  • Our new leadership-training: ‘Quintessence of Leadership’

First we were presenting the results of the ‘ComTeam study 05’, which shows in detail the situation of young leaders in Germany. In small groups we discussed the relevance of the results and the consequences we see for the development of leadership.

Concerning corporate culture we offered that you could examine your company in the net via a questionnaire. We have developed this questionnaire based on a model of culture by Fons Trompenaars, which differentiates 4 types of culture: family, project, structure, ideas. Each company has its share in all of these areas.
Our question was: what is the consequence and the impact of the result of our survey for the development of leadership? As a result we saw, that there are many aspects that need to be included when dealing with corporate culture and that it takes time to do so. Time for discussion and for the ripening of the questions that come up!

This year we will for the first time offer a training program for young leaders: “Quintessence of Leadership”. Designed for the special needs of your company and the corporate culture and as an open training as well, it deals with topics that are relevant for everyday life of a leader. We discussed these topics and the values that the program is built on. We were especially interested in the question: How did these values evolve? And we discussed what is already done for training young leaders and what else could be realistic alternatives in the near future.

All in all it was a very fruitful and interesting day which brought a lot of information and fun for both sides. And it had the nice effect that some of our new clients had the possibility to get to know us better.
