Teambuilding at the Tegernsee

It was one of those days where it was snowing all day long. We had planned to start with a teambuilding workshop of a sales team in the evening. The purpose was that the people from three different departments within the same responsibilities should get to know each other better, personally as well as with their tasks. It was not so easy for all the 23 members of the team to arrive from Munic and the surrounding area at our lovely place at the Tegernsee, because it was snowing incessantly during the whole day.

But the snow in all its splendour also had a strong point: the evening event we had planned was a full success! First we took four horses and carts which took us through the snowy and very romantic landscape. It was still snowing but we were protected by roofs and thick blankets around our legs were warming us. And if you were still cold you could get a glass of the home-brewed schnapps of the driver. On the ride that took us about one hour there was time to talk, to laugh and some even started to sing a song.

Our goal was the Weissachalm. Upon arriving a big snowball fight started and it took a while before all came out of their blankets and had found a warm place in the room of the Weissachalm.

This Alm is famous for its roasted duck with red cabbage and Knödel, Zwetschgenröster with vanilla icecream and some of the other delicious meals we enjoyed there. After the luxuriant meal we took our way back in high spirits - but this time by foot! Each person equipped with a torchlight we walked back through the forest thick with snow.

Even on the next day much was still to be felt from this wonderful experience. The work went on successfully and at the end, all went home very much satisfied.

This is a good example, what a lot of snow can be good for and how a teambuilding workshop can be accompanied by a tremendous evening event.
