There is often a longing for simple solutions, but mostly they miss the target. A good decision is one that realistically takes the complexity of the situation into account and results in a clear process that works even when times are tough.

After this seminar you will understand the logic and psychology which characterize sustainable and targeted decisions. You will become comfortable with methods that help to deal with complexity. You will understand contrary interests and needs and will be able to use this understanding to find optimal solutions. And you will be able to use your creativity to find the best solution possible.

• Analysis: What is the source, the situation, the dimension of the decision that needs to be made and who is participating?
• Broadening the perspective: What are the issues, the perspectives and what seems to be the difficultly?
• The controversy: Being thorough and clear in your thinking, clarify the differences and the backgrounds, deal with controversies
• Space for solutions: Solving dilemmas without making (false) compromises
• Constructing and qualifying options: Being creative and generating a wide range of options makes a high quality solution possible
• Making decisions: Rules for decision-making and the consequences of different grades of agreement
