There is a new face in the ComTeam office: Diana Korner

Since June 1st you are here at ComTeam, what exactly are your tasks?
In the moment my task area is to prepare all the papers for our seminars, to process the documentations of the seminars, to prepare the certificates for the participants and I deal with part of the accounting.

Where do you come from and what were the stations in your professional career so far?
I was born in Switzerland and grew up there in a village about 35 km from Zurich, close by the Zurich See. With regard to my jobs, I have done quite different things: I was trained as a merchandiser, worked in an IT-Support Company and finished training as a web-designer.
After that I felt the need for a change and took some time off for traveling and finally “landed” in Gmund via some social links. Until started my work here at ComTeam, I have worked in a dentist practice and at a petrol station.

What has left the biggest impressions in your life so far?
My two long travels definitely have left the biggest impressions. The first one was a back-packing tour to Australia for one year. I had to make new decisions each day: to organize where to go, where to spend the night, how to get there… just to deal with very practical things with which I did not have to deal with at home. Suddenly things were completely new, exciting but sometimes also quite exhausting. To meet different people, spend some time with them and then leave and go on by myself…Quite a few of my opinions have changed, I had many new impressions and gained a lot of experience.
On my second journey to New Zealand I spontaneously decided when I arrived, to explore the island by bike. I wanted to be independent and be able to really take in Nature. In these 6 months I came into close contact with many of my limits, physically and mentally, in a completely new way.

What were your reasons for your decision to come to ComTeam?
ComTeam’s general orientation that work-time is life-time, clearly appeals to me. Change is an important process at ComTeam and I really like that. I felt good here from the very beginning.

What do you like to do in your leisure time?
I spend most of my free time outdoors. I like to walk in the mountains with my dog and my camera, meet friends in the evening or read a book and sometimes I also forget about time at the computer…
And I still like to travel. Each time when I think I have discovered the most beautiful place, there is another one… I truly love to be surprised. My dog accompanies me wherever I travel, so right now it is mostly Europe and traveling by car.

What are your wishes for your first year at ComTeam?
I want to grow into my area of tasks successfully and have an open contact with my colleagues in the office and with the consultants.
