CSR – is it just a Marketing Approach or true Responsibility?


Since the founding of ComTeam 35 years ago, we have constantly offered our experience and knowledge to social, political and educational sectors. This transfer was successful when the other side could see our knowledge as a complement to their own know-how, and we – as their other side – could get some insight into non-profit organizations and how they live their values.

Last year the local education authority wanted to start a training program for their head teachers and their deputies with the aim of strengthening their leading position. The local educational authority inquired into the actual requirements, we offered our expertise and the result was a three-step program.

Ten participants made use of the offer. In the first step they learned about communication skills and how to deal with conflicts. This is very useful for their communication with colleagues, employees, students and parents because these are situations which are sometimes not so easy.

The second step was to reflect on their communication profile and to understand its effect in various situations of their professional role. It also implied to deal with the subject matter of “projections”.

The focus in the third step was the management of change. We explained the principles and steps and transferred it to the school practice. The head teachers also got to know the “ComTeam Cultural Profile” and discussed possibilities to use it in their context.

Each step took two- days, and after these intense events there will be the possibility for supervision. Here the participants will bring situations or questions out of their everyday professional situation and we will work on them with what has been learned throughout the training.
